We want to recognize our Society President Barbara Moore. Barbara was recently honored by the John Foster Chapter of the DAR for her Excellence in Community Service. She was presented her award by President Kim Lee at the May meeting.  Congratulations Barbara, it is well deserved.

The Historic Courthouse renovaton of 
Phase One is complete.
The restoration included the clock tower
and replacing the slate roof.
Phase Two will begin likely in 2023.

This is a work in progress and as our volunteers build the indexes from Vols 3 - 6 they will be added. If you are not a member of our society, you are invited to join

The Heritage Room is back to normal hours

The Heritage Room located in the Old Historic Courthouse in downtown Monroe, NC is back to normal hours. Monday - Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  and Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
